Easter Term Services

The Senior School Term Service was an evening where we were able to give thanks and celebrate Easter – a time where we are encouraged to acknowledge that Jesus is worth celebration.

Through His death and resurrection, we are forgiven, we are shown His power over death and know that through Christ we can have eternal life.

Over 500 people from our Senior School attended the Easter Service and enjoyed singing with the Chapel band, reflecting on the life of Jesus with the drama students and listening to the choir sing "And can it be".

A highlight of the evening was the interview with Liam, Bati and Madi. These students openly shared why they believe that Jesus is worth celebrating. This was a wonderfully encouraging interview and many people commented on how they were encouraged to listen to these students and their personal testimonies about Jesus.

Finally, Rev Nigel Fortescue from Campbelltown Anglican Churches gave a wonderful message about why we can celebrate Jesus at Easter.

Part of his Focus was on 1 Peter 1: 3-9, part of which says:

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.

Jesus is indeed worth celebrating! IN Jesus we have life and a wonderful eternal inheritance!

In Jesus we are forgiven, we are saved, the veil has been torn, we now have access to God as his loved people. It’s because of Jesus we can have life forever. Jesus is worth celebrating! So will you celebrate?
